Frack you in the ear M! for having created a sweet deconstruction of a boutique self-rep site in stark contrast to the look-at-me-and-my-fancypants-skills or we-are-so-simple-too-cool approaches of the competition.
Interesting:
- M! metaverse is comprised of a network of pages on wikepedia, flickr, delicious and google results.
- Nav-widget stalks the user through other sites utilizing the modernista.com as a redirect.
- Not sure but I imagine this site was pretty cost & time effective as the main pages are created using UGC tools & communities.
- AdFreak, which clued me into this site failed to point out the sheer awesomeness and ultimate brand-site implications of this approach.
